Welcome to Desperate Night, a music archive for the lesser known visual indies bands of Japan. This site is an ongoing project, trying to provide you with rare music samples and inform you of the existence of wonderful artists. There are too many sites, in every language possible, dedicated to X Japan, Dir en grey, and Malice Mizer. I am trying to bring attention to talented groups like Kagerou, L'yse:nore, Nightmare, Velvet Eden, Vizell, Deadman, and Blam Honey, who most people ignore because they don't have a major label. Sure, there are sites such as The Blue Sky Complex and Eternal Glamour who use FTP and Streamload, but I find it a fucking hassle. Streamload gives free users a download limit and most FTP servers restrict access to a limited amount of people. With this site, you download the mp3s directly because I have unlimited space and bandwidth to keep the archive running smoothly. That means no rotations, ever. However, I am not archiving the more popular indies artists such as Miyavi, Syndrome, and the recently major bands Baroque, Caligari, and Psycho le Cemu. And if I catch you directly linking my files, I will discontinue updates (plus you end up in my Hall of Shame). Clear?
